What each alert means
Your products' statuses and what to do about each alert.
Each product has a status and, sometimes, one or more alerts.
Statuses
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Running out | What you have won't last until a new order arrives | Order it today and ask the supplier if they can deliver sooner |
| Order now | It's below the point where you should reorder, or it has a suggested order | It's already in this week's order |
| Overstock | You have stock for more than 10 weeks, or it isn't selling | Don't buy more for now |
| OK | You have enough until the next order | Nothing |
Alerts
| Alert | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Will run out before the next order | Even if you order today, the order would arrive too late | Order it now. If another one of your stores has extra, bring some over from there |
| Postponed by budget | They didn't fit in your budget and were the least urgent | Add them from Orders if you have money left over |
| The supplier's minimum is too high | Buying the minimum would give you stock for more than 6 months | Negotiate a lower minimum, or make the call yourself |
| Too much stock | More than 10 weeks of stock | Don't buy; move it to another store or run a promotion |
| Not selling | No sales in months and you have stock | Consider clearing them out to free up the money |
| Sales are changing | Lately they're selling quite a bit more or less than before | Check whether the price, the competition, or the season has changed |
| Limited by expiry | We order less so they don't expire | It's worth receiving them more often |
| New products | They only have a few weeks of sales | Check the quantity yourself |
In Alerts you see them grouped, from most to least urgent. The red number in the menu counts the products that are running out.
